PURPOSE:To increase the access to and use of learning and teaching resources through the Education Resource Centres. (ERC)

FUNCTIONS

1. Establish and maintain Education Resource Centres and their satelites.

2. Provide access to facilities and learning and teaching resources.

3. Ensure the use of the facilities and the resources.

ESTABLISHMENT AND LOCATION  

The Lejweleputswa Education Resource Centre (ERC) has been operational since 1 February 2004 and is situated in the old ABSA Building in Welkom. The staff complement of five is geared towards providing an excellent service to educators, learners, office-based officials and the community alike. Ms N Cele is the Head of the ERC, supported by Mr MK Vilankulu (IT co-ordinator), Ms A Jonker (Resource Co-ordinator), Mr O Jansen (Programme co-ordinator) and Ms NB Ngalo (admin clerk).
