PURPOSE OF DIRECTORATES 1. To establish and maintain an Adult Education and Training system which provides divesified programmes to meet the needs of individuals and society. 2. To manage the Departmental assets and fleet and provide office support services. 3. To develop and implement an effective Demand, Acquisition and Logistics. 4. To ensure quality education delivery in districts. 5. To provide E-education and render support for educators, officials and learners. 6. To plan and co-ordinate examinations for GETC,FETC and ABET. 7. To Provide, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of the curriculum for FET including ELSEN. 8. To provide FET learning programmes that meet the needs of individuals and society. 9. To provide financial administration support. 10. To develop, coordinate, monitor and support the implementation of the curriculum for GET and ECD with adaptation within an inclusive education environment. 11. To provide human resource management service in the department including monitoring and coordination function over Districts. 12. To develop and support institutions. 13. To render internal audit services and advise management on matters of risk management, internal control and governance. 14. To handle all Labour Relation issues within the department of Education. 15. To develop and implement programmes to support learners. 16. To handle all matters relating to Legal Services within the department. 17. To provide financial business support and risk management services. 18. To ensure the development, optimal performance and well being of all employees and the organisation as a whole. 19. To render a departmental physical resource planning service. 20. To develop and monitor the implementation of PPP within the department. 21. To monitor and evaluate the performance of education delivery at specified levels and areas of the education system. 22. To provide Security services in the department. 23. To monitor, evaluate and coordinate issues of SYRAC and Values in Education. |
